Modern Slavery Statement
Published in compliance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Last updated: September 2026
1. Our Zero-Tolerance Commitment
Agora (Ethereal Technologies Ltd) enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, and worker exploitation across all operations, technologies, and supplier relationships.
2. Structure & Supply Chain
Agora operates a software technology platform connecting independent cleaning professionals with domestic and commercial clients. While service providers operate as independent contractors setting their own rates and hours, we implement strict automated safeguards to prevent labor abuse, including rolling 10-hour daily booking caps and mandatory rest intervals.
3. Due Diligence & Identity Verification
Every service provider must pass biometric government-issued ID checks and UK Right-to-Work audits before accessing the marketplace. Bank accounts connected via Stripe Connect must match the verified identity of the registered cleaner to prevent wage garnishment or exploitation by third parties.
4. Whistleblowing & Reporting
We maintain dedicated confidential reporting channels for customers, cleaners, and the public. Any suspected modern slavery activity is immediately investigated by our Trust & Safety officers and escalated to UK law enforcement and the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority (GLAA).
5. Annual Review & Compliance
This statement is reviewed annually by our leadership team. Reports or inquiries may be directed to compliance@agora.cleaning.
