Terms of Service

1. Scope of Services

1.1. The Platform: Agora provides an online marketplace that connects users seeking cleaning services ("Customers") with independent self-employed cleaning professionals ("Service Providers").

1.2. Role of Agora: Agora acts solely as an intermediary to facilitate the connection, booking, and payment processing between Customers and Service Providers. We do not provide cleaning services ourselves. Service Providers are independent contractors and are not employees, partners, or agents of Agora.

2. Account Registration

2.1. Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you warrant that you have the capacity to enter into binding contracts.

2.2. Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3. Bookings and Payments

3.1. Direct Contract: When a Customer books a Service Provider, a direct contract is formed between the Customer and the Service Provider. Agora is not a party to that contract.

3.2. Fees: The total price for a service includes the Service Provider's fee and Agora's service fee. By booking a service, you agree to pay the total amount displayed.

3.3. Payment Processing: Payments are processed via our third-party payment processor, Stripe. You agree to be bound by the Stripe Connected Account Agreement.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

4.1. Cancellations: You may cancel a booking through the app. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time may be subject to a cancellation fee.

4.2. Refunds: Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you are dissatisfied with a service, you must report the issue to Agora within 24 hours of completion.

5. User Conduct and Safety

5.1. Respect: You agree to treat all users with respect and dignity. Harassment or discrimination of any kind will result in immediate account termination.

5.2. Safety: Customers are responsible for providing a safe working environment. Service Providers have the right to refuse service if they feel unsafe.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1. Disclaimer: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Agora excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform or the conduct of any user. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or suitability of the services provided by independent Service Providers.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
